A meeting venue with team building gives you the opportunity to combine a business meeting with a group activity. At KOMAEN in Oirschot, you can discuss plans, hold a presentation or work through important topics together before taking part in an activity. Both the meeting and team-building activities take place at the same venue.

The programme depends on the purpose of the meeting, the number of participants and the time available. After a morning of meetings, for example, you could play Pitch&Putt or footgolf together. You can also schedule an activity between two meeting sessions, allowing the business programme to be combined with time spent together outside the meeting room.

The different meeting rooms at KOMAEN can be combined with group activities and catering. You could start with coffee and tea, plan a shared lunch and finish the day with an activity, drinks or dinner. The most suitable combination depends on your group size and preferred programme.

Combine meetings and team building in one programme

A meeting with colleagues does not have to consist entirely of discussions around a table. By setting aside time for a group activity, you can break up the business programme or finish the meeting with a different way of spending time together.

At KOMAEN in Oirschot, the meeting rooms and various activities are located at the same venue. This means your team can start with a meeting and then enjoy an activity such as Pitch&Putt, footgolf or a group game.

Option 01 Meet first, then get active Use the morning or afternoon for your business programme, followed by a group activity.
Option 02 An activity between two sessions Break up two meeting sessions with an activity before the team comes together again.
Option 03 Meeting, activity and dinner Create a longer programme with time for discussions, a group activity and a shared meal.

Which combination works best depends on the time required for the meeting and the duration of the chosen activity. A team with approximately one hour available for an activity may choose something different from a group planning to spend an entire afternoon on team building.

Sample programmes for a meeting day with team building

When planning the day, it is important to consider how long each activity takes. A 9-hole round of Pitch&Putt takes approximately one and a half hours, while 18 holes take around two and a half hours. Footgolf takes approximately one hour.

The examples below show how a meeting and a group activity can fit together. They are suggested schedules rather than fixed packages.

Please note: the times shown are indicative. When booking, starting times, any necessary instructions, transition time between activities and availability will be coordinated.

Example A · Meeting with a shorter activity Meeting and footgolf
09:00 - 09:30 Welcome with coffee and tea.
09:30 - 12:00 Business meeting, presentation or group discussion.
12:00 - 13:00 Lunch together.
13:00 - 14:15 Footgolf on the 9-hole course, allowing time for instructions and the transition from lunch.
Afterwards Optionally enjoy a drink in the dining café.
Example B · Meeting with an outdoor activity Meeting and Pitch&Putt
09:00 - 13:00 A four-hour business programme, including a break.
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch together.
14:00 - 15:45 A 9-hole round of Pitch&Putt, with extra time for instructions and changing activities.
Afterwards Finish with drinks or, if preferred, enjoy dinner together later.

If you would prefer to play 18 holes of Pitch&Putt or organise a more extensive game programme, additional time will be needed. The schedule can be adjusted according to the activity, group size and availability.

Which team-building activity suits your meeting?

When choosing an activity, the main considerations are how much time is available and what the participants would enjoy doing together. Not every team is looking for a sporting challenge. Some groups prefer a game involving discussion, puzzles or knowledge rather than physical activity.

KOMAEN offers several activities that can be scheduled as a separate part of your meeting programme.

Outdoors · approx. 1.5 or 2.5 hours Pitch&Putt golf

A golf game played on a course with shorter holes. No previous golfing experience is required. Choose between 9 holes, taking approximately one and a half hours, or 18 holes, taking around two and a half hours.

This activity suits teams that would like to spend a longer period outdoors together after their meeting.

Outdoors · approx. 1 hour Footgolf

In footgolf, the aim is to kick a football into each hole in as few attempts as possible. KOMAEN has a 9-hole footgolf course.

With a playing time of around one hour, footgolf may be suitable when the meeting takes up most of the day.

Games and puzzles · approx. 1.5 hours VR Escape Game

A group activity where participants solve riddles using virtual reality and physical puzzles. The activity is available for groups of 3 to 30 people.

An option for teams looking to tackle a shared puzzle challenge after their meeting.

Music game · from 20 people Music Bingo

A musical version of bingo in which participants recognise songs and mark them off on their bingo cards. KOMAEN offers Music Bingo for groups of at least 20 people.

An alternative for teams that prefer playing a game together rather than taking part in an outdoor sports activity. The required duration is agreed when making an enquiry.

This is a selection of the available activities. KOMAEN also offers other group activities, including De Strijd om KOMAEN, Ik Hou Van Holland and various sports games.

You can find more information about activities for teams on the team-building page. The most suitable and available activity depends on the group, preferred date and meeting programme.

Consider your available time and team size

When adding an activity to a meeting day, it helps to establish three things beforehand: how much time remains after the business programme, how many colleagues will participate and which type of activity suits the group.

Available time Footgolf takes approximately one hour, while an 18-hole round of Pitch&Putt takes around two and a half hours. Allow time for instructions and changing activities.
Group size Each activity may have different minimum and maximum group sizes. The VR Escape Game, for example, accommodates a maximum of 30 participants.
Preferences An outdoor sporting activity involves a different type of participation from a quiz, Music Bingo or puzzle game.

The purpose of the business programme may also influence your choice. After an intensive meeting, an outdoor activity may be an option, while a quiz or group game could suit a team with varied interests.

Taking part in an activity does not automatically improve teamwork. It does, however, provide an opportunity to spend time together outside the usual meeting environment. What participants gain from the experience depends on the team, the activity and how the day is organised.

Meet first, then enjoy an indoor or outdoor activity

The choice between indoor and outdoor activities can be important when planning your programme well in advance. Not every activity is affected by the weather in the same way.

Get active outdoors

Pitch&Putt and footgolf take place outdoors. These activities may suit teams looking for something sporty after their meeting. Pitch&Putt can generally continue in less favourable weather, unless conditions on the course become unsafe, for example during a thunderstorm.

A group game programme

If you prefer not to rely on an outdoor sporting activity, you can choose from various games, such as a VR Escape Game or Music Bingo. The practical arrangements and space required will be discussed when booking.

It is therefore sensible to consider the season and participants' preferences when planning the day. If you choose an outdoor activity, discussing the options in case of bad weather beforehand is recommended.

A meeting room that suits your business programme

For the meeting itself, KOMAEN offers three rooms: 't Kabinet, Buitenzicht and De Schouw. These rooms differ in capacity and possible layouts. The most suitable room depends on the number of participants and how the meeting will be organised.

Facilities for the business programme include Wi-Fi, a flipchart and a meeting kit. LCD screens can also be rented for presentations. Any specific technical requirements can be discussed in advance.

A meeting package can be booked for one or more half-day sessions. Each session lasts four hours. By providing the required meeting time and the duration of the team-building activity beforehand, the two parts of the programme can be coordinated.

Meetings, team building and dining together at KOMAEN

A meeting day with team building can include various food and drink breaks. KOMAEN has its own catering facilities, allowing your team to stay at the same venue for lunch, drinks or dinner.

The food and drink options include the Oirschot sandwich lunch, shared lunch, drinks, barbecues, buffets and dinner. The catering can be arranged around the group size and the different parts of the day.

Beforehand Coffee and tea Welcome participants before the meeting begins.
Between sessions Lunch together Schedule a meal between the meeting and the activity.
Afterwards Drinks or dinner Stay together after the team-building activity for an informal closing moment.

Barbecues and buffets are also available for larger groups. At KOMAEN, barbecues can take place both indoors and outdoors. Certain packages have minimum group sizes, including at least 15 people for a barbecue. When making an enquiry, please indicate how many participants are expected and which catering options you would like to include.
